The group exibition „Without Advisory“, curated by artists Christian Korda and Yotaro Niwa, shows six positions of contemporary art, including works ot the genres painting, photography, sculpture and installation. The focus of this exhibition is on young rather unknown international artists, and Korda‘s and Niwa‘s intention is to call the attention on artworks of varying disciplines, which are important to the artists themselves.
Equally open as the collection of works exhibited are the following artist statements and texts, which have been provided by every participating artist and haven‘t been edited afterwards.
The group show is the official debut exhibition of the Supramental Artspace in Berlin-Friedrichshain.
Curated by Christian Korda and Yotaro Niwa.
The Jury's motivation
"The jury finds National Solo Award Winner Valerie Collart's monochromatic photographs of sculptures [...] to be sophisticated and intriguing in terms of their seemingly disarming flatness."

" Valérie Collart has worked with classical rough bricks and the fine shape of the antique amphorae. The simple nature of the bricks is contradicted and arranged to form not a solid element of a building but an ornamental object – the amphorae vase. The function of the brick is transformed into an aesthetically pleasing object on a pedestal. In Valéries sculptures, the idea is to sustain the stability and solidity whilst simultaneously wanting the objects to reveal their fragility and their precariousness. "
